Shooting the first footage for the Horizon Born video today …

Just when I thought I’d spend the rest of the year relaxing in the studio, I got asked to support electro-pioneers Front 242 at their show at Matrix in Bochum on December 28, 2009. Can’t say no to that, can you? So, if you are in the area: come check us out! Doors open at 7pm!

The Horizon Born Club Edit has climbed up one spot again and hit the No. 4 position on the DAC (German Alternative Charts) this week!

Those were the last shows for this year, as I am taking December off to shoot a video and start properly working on the new album.

Regardless of how highly you think of yourself as an artist, I believe there is a need to keep looking at other artists and hopefully be inspired and amazed by skills that are beyond your own. I surely know that I think I’m pretty good at what I do, but I regularly stumble upon artists who make me look like a completely incompetent fool.

Why this young lady isn’t a major worldwide star is beyond me. I surely hope she will be soon. I’ve rarely seen so much graceful storytelling and immediate emotional connection through artwork. It surely beats all classical or modern artwork I’ve ever seen in my life.

Much respect to Kseniya Simonova – this inspired me to become a better artist.

“Horizon Born (Electric Paradise Club Edit)” is climbing from 11 to 9 on the DAC (Deutsche Alternative Charts) *g* – there’s lots of tough competition though, so we’ll see how high it can get!

Got back from a fun show in Athens/Greece, where we played the Sin City Club! My man George brought us over to Greece and both the Bad Bad Lord and me had a great time!

Greek duo BeCumin opened the night and their music was really cool! Probably one of the best bands that ever opened for us. Marco and I were quite impressed!

After that we did our thing, emptied a bottle of vodka during the set, almost fell off stage (after tripping over a monitor), almost broke the stage (by jumping too much) and generally had a good time. From what I could gather, this goes for the audience, too *g*
