Triton Festival: new tracks coming at ya!

Posted in Everyday Life on September 1st, 2010 by Faderhead

I’m back in the studio making club mixes of “Do You Know Who I Think I Am?” (feat. Ted Phelps of Imperative Reaction) and “The Way To Fuck God” right now.

If you are at Triton Festival in NYC: make sure to check out the DJ sets of Mighty Mike Saga and END:the DJ to hear the US exclusive premieres of those songs. Also my main man Jet will be spinning the US premiere of the new album’s first single “Destroy Improve Rebuild”, so be there and shake your ghetto booty! *g*

Lots of new Faderhead coming your way at Triton – even if I can’t be there cause I’m playing in Spain with VNV Nation. So make sure to check out those DJ sets and let me know what you think of the new tunes!

My DJ set in Belgrade is not happening!

I am being billed as a DJ at the Adrenalin Festival in Belgrade, Serbia on Friday, August 27, 2010 – this DJ set is NOT going to happen. The organizer (Legacy Promotion) never sent us a signed contract or the advance money for flights etc. so I will not be there. Sorry!

Amphi 2010

Posted in Live Shows, On Tour on July 26th, 2010 by Faderhead

Just got back from the Amphi Festival 2010 where I spent 2 days hanging out, chugging vodka, meeting old buddies and new friends and generally having a good time. Oh and we also played a kick-ass show! I mean, I am generally neither modest nor shy, but packing the Staatenhaus from front to back at 14:20 with an audience that dances, claps, sings/screams and even starts a moshpit – I think that deserves the adjective “kick ass”.

I brought my boys Joe and Daniel from SAM as well as the new kid Double G and JL/Das Bus from Straftanz. So nonstop-bouncy-action was guaranteed! Good shit!

The rest of the festival was crazy, too! I spent over 2,5h by the merch booth on Saturday signing CDs, shirts, boobs or festival programs and taking pictures with so many nice people! I am really glad that I did that instead of the doing the normal autograph session in the tent! What dumbfounded me was that I seriously couldn’t walk 10 meters anywhere without someone asking for a picture or an autograph! At one point on Sunday the impromptu-line of people in front of me was exactly as long as the official autograph tent line!

Sorry to the people I had to turn down, but I had to be at certain places at certain times to do interviews!

Thanks to everyone who came to the show and partied so hard! Thanks to everyone who said hi, took photos and gave me a pat on the back. A “hello” to all the sexy girls who snuggled up and a “whaddup?” to all the dudes who shared vodka or beer with me! Hope to see you all at a gig in the future! :)

Tattoo

Posted in Everyday Life on July 22nd, 2010 by Faderhead

Today Kady from California sent me a picture of her new tattoo – which is lyrics from one of my songs (“Disappear”).

This is such a “wow!” moment for me, it’s unbelievable! I am very honored!

Waregem/York/Amphi-Festival

Posted in Live Shows, On Tour on July 19th, 2010 by Faderhead

After two really cool shows (Gothic Festival in Waregem and DV8 Fest in York). Hung out with lots of old friends and new people (shout-out to Jan of Noisuf-X) and generally had a great time! But now I am getting psyched up for the show next weekend at Amphi-Festival!

Check out the footage from Belgium in the video above and I really hope to see you all at Amphi this Saturday!!!!

Black Friday Production Status

Posted in Studio on June 7th, 2010 by Faderhead

When I officially started the end-phase of the “Black Friday” production, I made a little chart for myself to see what needs to be done and to track my progress. A friend of mine saw it and thought it was really interesting, so I decided to upload it and keep it as a public “progress-sheet”.

Basically, everything that has an X is done. If something doesn’t have an X it means it still needs to be done or is only partially done. I hope that over the next weeks, I’ll add many X’s to this sheet, so check back regularly to see how I am doing …

Dark Flower

Posted in On Tour on May 31st, 2010 by Faderhead

Back from a Leipzig after a weekend with 5h of sleep in 3 days. Friday night in Hamburg my man Konsul Kühlsen and I accidentally ended up at Dark Mass and for some reason I didn’t make it into bed before 8am. It wasn’t my fault, really! No, reallllly!! *g*

Made it to Leipzig alive and headed over to the Dark Flower club which was almost completely empty, because it was the week after WGT (people had no money left), one of the first days of great weather this year AND the Eurovision Song Contest was on. And really, despite what scene-people would like to make you believe: they are all a bunch of gay-schlager-adoring, sms-voting and shit-talk loving pansies. So people stayed home to watch the contest *g* It was all good, though, cause I could start the evening by being chill and hanging out with the very nice club crew: Manu, Isa, Ronny, Schelle and DJ PorNo (“Masterblaster auf Ex!”).

After a while the club filled up nicely (I guess everyone had recovered from sunbathing and the shock of Germany actually winning the Eurovision contest) and DJ PorNo and I could get the party started properly! Thanks to all the people who came from out of town just for the DJ set like Birgit or Mandy! Big <3 to Krissy for shaking ass and grinding like a ghetto girl in a Brooklyn hiphop club! That totally made my night *g*. Hi to Dejan (Haujobb) and Anja and definitely Markus Müller for mashing up Combichrist with Black Eyed Peas! Good shit, man!

Leipzig was definitely worth the trip and we are already talking about me going back later this year! Definitely looking forward to that!

Oh, and I won’t mention the 4 drunk calls I got between 8am and 8:20am on Sunday morning from a certain Canadian girl who could barely talk anymore and was apparently wearing nothing but highheels and a mexican poncho!!!
