“I am an airhead and I want to be in your video!”

Posted in Everyday Life on March 10th, 2010 by Faderhead

Jesus fuckin’ Christ! What is wrong with you ladies???

We (Marco Ribbe and me) posted several casting calls on different websites 2 days ago. So far we received 15 email applications and 98 completely moronic emails like

- “I am 177cm tall, 2cm taller than what you are looking for. Can I still apply?” (hint: read the casting call!)

- “Will I get paid for travelling?” (hint: read the casting call!!)

- “I am only 17, so I am a year younger than you specify. Can I still apply?” (hint: read the casting call!!!)

- “Why did you have to choose that date for filming? It’s the most inconvenient date for me!” (hint: maybe it was very convenient for us and we didn’t factor in that some random girl who we’ve never met is busy during that time?)

- “Do you think I am too shy for this?” (hint: we have never met you before, how the fuck should we know???)

- “What kind of model are you looking for? Do you think I have a chance?” (hint: read the motherfucking casting call!!!)

And my favorite: “I am blonde, can I still apply?”

Dumb Blonde

We got 98 of those! Ninty-fuckin-eight!! In contrast to that out of the 15 young women who applied via email 3 were older than specified, two were definitely not anywhere near “lean” and only one, yes ONE (eine, una, une) actually did everything the way it was asked in the casting call (thank you Rebecca from Bochum, you are the only shining beacon of hope for me!!).

I don’t even want to mention the brainiacs who (despite the clear mention of applying through casting@faderhead.com) sent us stuff through myspace or a German modelling website. Reading comprehension failure anyone?

What is the point of this rant? The point is:

a) everything you need to know is in the casting call

b) if you are too stupid to figure out what’s written in the casting call – do you think we even WANT to work with you?

c) if you are too lazy to add everything we ask for (yes, I am talking about the short introductory video here!), then we surely won’t think that you’ll be putting any effort into this production at all. Do you think we’ll put any faith, weeks of work and a bunch of money into your lazy ass?

People are delusional morons these days, really. I can’t wait for all those small-town-scene-queens whose photoshopped cellulite ass has been in the Sonic Seducer Gothic Calendar 2005 (only after they sucked off the photographer!) to be bitching later “What? They chose HER??? *I* would have been soooo much better!”

Searching girl for upcoming video project!

Posted in Everyday Life on March 8th, 2010 by Faderhead

For an upcoming Faderhead video project we are looking for a girl that would like to be the lead actress in this.

It’d be too long to describe what I am talking about (and I don’t want to give away too much either), but we are basically looking for a young woman who would be comfortable portraying a young woman with minimal amounts of dialog.

The project will be filmed from April 22 to April 25, 2010 in Hamburg, Germany. So if you

- are a young woman (18-28)
- 160-175cm tall
- lean
- any haircolor
- no piercings or large tattoos

so, if you basically look like a goodlooking girl-next-door, and want to be part of this, then please send me an email to

casting@faderhead.com

and include:

a) Name, Age, Address, Country
b) 3 absolutely unedited (no retouching whatsoever!) pictures: portrait, profile, full body
c) a link to a short 30-60 second video (mobile phone or webcam is fine) where you simply tell us something about you so we can see your personality a bit. No need for anything fancy, really!
d) the financial compensation you would like for this

If you think this is the right thing for you or someone you know, please get in touch with us until March 28, 2010.

Be aware that there will be a kiss between you and another actor in one of the scenes, so if you have a jealous boyfriend who can’t distinguish between reality and fiction – please do not apply!!

I am really stoked about this project and if it all works out like I want it to, this will be spectacular!

DJing @ Ringlokschuppen

Posted in On Tour on March 7th, 2010 by Faderhead

Back from a night DJing at Ringlokschuppen/Bielefeld (Germany) with my man DJ Sick.

The party was called “Fieser Freitag” (engl.: Nasty Friday) which will probably get a chuckle from my closest friends *g*

Played a VERY generic set because ultimately the crowd demanded generic songs, so that’s what they got. Tried to put in some lesser known stuff too, but sparsely.

Next up: a show with Xotox at P60 in Amstelveen/Netherlands on Saturday, March 13, 2010. Dutch crowds rule, so that should be good! Hope to see you there!

Dynamic Range Day!!

Posted in Everyday Life on March 4th, 2010 by Faderhead

March 20th, 2010 is Dynamic Range Day! It’s the day to speak out against the Loudness War, a “war” that is definitely destroying the enjoyment of music for most people.

Dynamic Range Day – Loudness War Protest

Read up on what the loudness war is and join the Dynamic Range day activities!

You can also watch a video explanation on YouTube:

I have always been an enemy of recordings that have been made too loud and I purposely had “FH3″ mastered considerably softer than any other electro record. It sounds a lot better because of that!

Zwickau Show Cancelled!

Posted in Live Shows on February 8th, 2010 by Faderhead

Unfortunately the organizers of next Saturday’s gig in Zwickau have cancelled the whole show. So sadly there won’t be any Faderhead show in Zwickau. They are aiming to reschedule so I hope to see you all soon!
