… caught me on my way to work this morning!

:)
Merry Christmas everyone!
I have stopped worrying about piracy in the past 3-4 years after recognizing that it’s inevitable and experiencing that 90% of the pirates wouldn’t have bought the record if it wasn’t available for free.
I have put every Faderhead song up on my website in a player so that anyone who’s interested in checking out my tracks can do that easily on the right side of this page – and without having to go through any hoops (Piratebay) and difficulties (country restrictions on YouTube).
I have, however, not given in to the “music should be free”-mentality, which is why I have removed my tracks from the streaming service Spotify. I actually did that a while before labels started doing it too, because I did not agree with the fact that Spotify is making money off of subscribers and advertisers and does not pay adequate royalties to the artists. One stream generates US$ 0,005 for me … yea, that’s 1/5th of a cent!
If you want to know what this is all about, THIS is a very good article to read.
We have started booking the upcoming US Tour! It’ll run from March 20, 2012 to April 4, 2012! If you are interested in booking us for a show, please contact our US agency at ustour@faderhead.com!
Cause today is Black Friday in the US, we're offering the Black Friday album at a one-day-only discount of 7.99 Euros!
There's also a free download of a new demo ("Living With Lions") if you sign up for the Faderhead newsletter:
If you're already signed up to the newsletter, simply GO HERE and download "Living With Lions" from the "songs" section :)
Now that the EP is released I’m getting ready to finish up the new album which is due for release in mid-March 2012.
Like last year, I’m posting the production progress here for you to follow.
Yay! It’s done! \o/

Click here for full-length previews of all the tracks!
Here’s the tracklist:
Side A:
01. The Way To Fuck God (Club Edit) 04:10
02. The Way To Fuck God (Electro Mix by XP8) 04:19

Of course there’s always iTunes and AmazonMP3 to serve your downloading needs (but those don’t have the bonus track)!
Hope you like the EP!!
… a number of people were surprised when I went on stage in Barcelona wearing a white shirt, a hat and heart-shaped sunglasses, but hey, it was Halloween and while most people dressed up as something creepy, I dressed up as something even more creepy :)

(Backstage after the show with Double G who played keys)
Yesterday we shot the dance scenes for the music video to “The Way To Fuck God”. Originally the plan was to do it in February, but everything got moved back and we are now releasing the video along with the “The Way To Fuck Clubs”-EP, which comes out in November 11, 2011.

We already had shot the band performance scenes (see above) in January, so yesterday it was only a small crew to film Marlene and Sunny doing the dance scenes.

(Makeup-Artist Michelle doing Sunny’s makeup)
Everything went really well. No problems and a very leisurely working speed made this shoot a breeze. Especially compared to the mammoth 70 people production of “Black Friday”.

(Marlene is getting ready to eat a chocolate cookie – despite trying to avoid chocolate!)
I was really happy with the dancing because it clearly fit the style of the song while not being generic!

(Sounddirector Kay is apparently having fun).
Editing will start next week, so I hope to have the video out by the first week of November!
This was fun! :)
Instead of making behind-the-scenes videos for every single one of the events, I decided to make a snappy 4-in-1 overview video of the festivals I was at this summer (WGT, Summer Darkness, M’Era Luna, E-Tropolis).
Oh, and there’ll be a download-only EP called “The Way To Fuck Clubs” released on November 11, 2011 (11-11-11). I’ll give you lots more info on that soon!
For now, I hope you enjoy the festival video! :)
